Before his election to the Texas House of Representatives, Rep. Smith served from 1991-1996 as a City Councilperson in Euless, Texas. *In 1996, he was elected by the people in Texas House District 92 to serve as their State Representative, representing constituents in Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Arlington, Grand Prairie and Fort Worth. He was re-elected without opposition in 1998, 2000, 2004, 2006 and with 88.5% of the vote in 2002.
